Kavita Review - An Alternative to Kobo and Nook
Kavita is a fast, feature rich, cross-platform reading server. It is built with a focus on manga and the goal of being a full solution for all your reading needs. Kavita can be run on Windows, Linux, macOS, or it can even be installed with Docker.
Kavita has some really cool features like: Series Relationships (Side Stories, Sequels, Prequels) – this is a game changer. Reading Lists – this is a very handy way to keep track of all your reading. Kavita can break epubs and pdfs up into virtual pages that fit your device, which makes it ideal for e-ink devices. It also can estimate how long it should take you to read a series based on how many chapters you’ve already read.
Another cool thing is that Kavita can store your bookmarks so you can resume where you left off. It’s super easy to set up and the UI is clean and intuitive. It can handle a wide variety of file formats too and works really well on mobile devices. If you’re looking for a great alternative to Kobo or Nook, I highly recommend it. It’s free to download and use too.
